The Asus Fonepad 7 is an Intel-powered 7" tablet â€“ Atom Z2560 at 1.6GHz running Android 4.2 to be precise. The screen is a 7" IPS LCD with WXGA resolution (1280 x 800) and has a smudge-resistant coating. It measures 10.5mm in thickness and weighs 340g (that's almost as much as the 8" MeMO Pad 8). It too has dual SonicMaster speakers. The 5MP main camera can shoot 100 photos in a burst and record 1080p video and as with the rest, there's a 1.2MP front-facing camera. Storage comes in 8/16/32GB versions, expandable by a microSD card slot. Connectivity is handled by DC-HSPA+ (42Mbps down, 5.76Mbps up) and there's full 3G telephony support (complete with a noise cancelling mic). Miracast handles wireless TV out duties.
