Display and Build:

The Amazon Fire Phone is Amazon’s first attempt at providing a premium Android flagship with its custom software. The display is a 4.7” HD (1280*720) IPS Display with 312ppi which is quite sharp. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The build quality of the device is exemplary.

Internal Specifications and Operating System

The phone is runs on a Snapdragon 800 Quad-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and 2GB RAM. The sensors included are a accelerometer, compass, barometer, gyro and proximity sensor. The storage capacity of the phone is 32/64GB which is non expandable. The phone is powered by a 2400 mAh battery. The phone runs on Amazon Fire OS v3.5 (Android based OS), upgradable to v.3.5.1

Camera

The camera is a 13 MP unit with optical image stabilization, autofocus, LED flashIt can record 720p video and the front camera is a 1.3MP unit capable of HD video. The device has 4 front cameras for its 3D Dynamic Perspective UI.

The Amazon Fire Phone has great hardware and a decent display with Amazon’s patented software but what sets this phone apart is the Augmented Reality features of the phone like 3D Dynamic Perspective UI (based on 4 front cameras), System wide tilt, auto-scroll, swivel, and peek functions, etc.
